1. Most of the merchandise is low-quality and disposable given it doesn’t last that long.
2. Dollar Stores contribute to unbridled consumerism and the need-to-have-it consumer mentality that has fueled the North American economy for the past five years or so.
3. Given the packaging involved, Dollar Stores are environmentally unfriendly.
4. While there are some bargains, you usually get what you pay for.
More: Even people who love shopping at Dollar Stores realizes there are dangers involved such as spending more than you intend because, after all, things are “just $1″.
