….It Would Be Nice to be Really Rich

1. You could buy your own private airplane. Look at what Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have done. First, they bought a Boeing 767, and now they’ve gone and purchased a Boeing 757. And they get to land their Boeing babies at NASA-operated Moffett Field, located a few miles from the Googleplex.

2. There would be no need to ever look at price tags again. You want something, you buy it. No worries about something being too expensive; no putting off a purchase until you’ve saved a few more bucks. Goodbye frugality; hello free-spending!

3. You could buy better stuff. Let’s face it, most of the things you purchased aren’t built to last. You buy a new computer only to discover in a couple of years, it’s badly under-powered. You buy new clothes only to see them become threadbare before their time. You buy a new car and then keeping paying your mechanic to keep it on the road. But when you’re rich, you can buy high-quality stuff - Rolex watches, Mercedes-Benz, fine wines and smooth scotch.

4. You can be as generous as you want. You want to go away with good friends to somewhere nice, you happily foot the bill. Your parents need a new home, they’re moving to Beverly Hills with the Clampetts. The United Way calls for a donation, you can write a large check without even thinking about it.

5. You could have a massage every day if you wanted. Now, that would be nice.

Though you almost certainly won’t be much happier than the average middle-class person. Studies show that if you bring somebody out of poverty you improve their happiness significantly. However, once you satisfy their basic needs, more money barely impacts their happiness.

Not worry about the price tags would be the best! Not talking about travelling all around and spending as much time (and money) as you want.
