….Sports Playoffs are Awesome
1. After the grind of the never-ending regular seasons, the playoffs offer a fresh start for everyone. Fans get to see games that matter, while the players can set their sites on winning a championship as opposed to yet another regular season game.
2. The games are better, faster, more dramatic because every game counts. Lose one of two in a row, and your season is over. Rather than going half-speed or three-quarters speed, players need to give 110% to use an over-used sports cliche.
3. There are multiple games on every night, which means it’s a feast for sports fans and a bonanza for sports bars.
4. Playoff pools. Nothing to get the adrenalin going for players and teams in which you would otherwise have absolutely no interest than having them on your playoff pool squad. And there is really nothing better than getting together to pick players because it involves beer, food, and good-natured bashing of everyone else’s picks.
